Guest guest
, Have not been following this post to closely the last few days, but WHAT? These standards established within the S520, people are going to have to pay to see them? Are you sure that is right? If so, that doesn't make a lick of sense to me. Who is going to pay to read a standard (that is not a mandatory standard) that tells them what they have to do? How is anybody else going to know if they followed a standard unless they, too, pay to read it? And if it is not a mandatory standard, that hardly anybody will read, then who cares what it says anyway? If you are right on this one, this is dumbest thing ever. Are they trying on purpose to make the S520 irrelevant? If they want S520 to be the document is was meant to be, if they want it to carry any weight at all, they should be putting that thing out there as widely as they can. And they only do that, if they put it out for free. Sharon All the while, these “standards†are not public documents, they are not available to the public, they are not published by public agencies, and the public needs to be part of an elite membership and pay the big bucks just for the privilege of reading the standard.
