Unless you are talking about Kilz paints and others with high levels of mildicides and funcgicides. Injurious indoor air quality from VOCs is very prevalent.Barbara Rubin

You are quite right Barbara.

It always amazes me how many people tend to select the wrong products . They should truely understand what they are doing or talking about.

Being that here in SW Florida , concrete block with a decorative surface known commonly as "stucco" comprises 90% of outside walls. Please note that I said a decorative surface, as its' most important function is to hold up the paint. Painted with the right paint, at the proper mil thickness, it becomes what is known as a moisture barrier. Kilz is a stain sealer (although I've seen painters with their nose in the cans getting high) Fungicides or Mildew retarders are additives mixed with paint after shoddy a remediation .They are special. They get blessed with a prayer that the parasites don't return.

My original post had some pictures of water coming thru the block. They are some where out there.

I will remember about the kilz and additives the next time sign a building or mechanical permit.
