Guest guest
Hi All, The American Associaiton of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology has a new position statement on mold. If anybody wants a copy. Send me an email. Here is my favorite among many interesting sentences: "Thus we agree with the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine evidence-based statement and the Institute of Medicine draft, which conclude that the evidence does not support the contention that mycotoxin-mediated disease(mycotoxicosis)occurs through inhalation in nonoccupational settings." Let's see, why are they quoting the DRAFT of the IOM paper? Could it possibly be because the IOM Damp Indoor Spaces and Health FINAL Paper, called out the fact that the ACOEM Mold Statement's determination of implausibility of human illness from inhaling mycotoxins - wasn't based on current accepted scientific protocol to make that determination? PS. No, it's not here we go again. I will you all the info. You can do with it what you will. Sharon Kramer
