working with ob/ped practice

Hi all, I am being considered to possible work w/in an ob practice with ties to a ped practice. I don't know if they have an exact plan, this is VERY early. a dr. contacted me and asked if I'd be interested. Do any of you do this? I want to be able to speak intelligently about some models currently in use in the US Are you an employee? Or is this still your private practice? do you or the docs bill insurance? private pay?
