Guest guest
I teach a breastfeeding basics class for a local parenting business. We use a powerpointformat punctuated by lots of " instructor " ad libs etc. It is pretty comprehensive but notoverwhelming although the length of the class is long. There is a break to shop (and pee) in the middle and a little time for questions at the end. But I'm conflicted recently. I've takento heart the info that Colson and Smilie articles/studies bring to light. I'm not sure we should be teaching " positioning " as such. Maybe the class should lean more toward instinctual responses to feeding? That is what I do when I see a mom privately. Is there a justification in class work at all? What allare you including in your class formats? -- Ilene Fabisch, IBCLC/RLCBrockton, MA
