Guest guest
Chaste Berry can sometimes decrease milk supply. For some moms it can be very helpful to increase supply. I stay away from it, but it’s a great herb once weaned if history of low milk supply and hormonal deficiencies, irregular periods or severe PMS symptoms.June , RN From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Sunday, November 06, 2011 7:35 PMTo: Subject: Lactation Blend Dietary Supplement by Tori Hudson N.D. Has anyone had any experience with the following herbal supplement? I had a client this past week begin using it, and at first her milk supply was doing " better " , I saw her on day 2 or 3 after starting, but since having been on it, when I saw her again on day 5 or 6 of taking it (1 capsule 2x/day as the bottle recommended) her milk volume was literally half of what it was. She decided that she wanted to try something different and is now on More Milk Plus.Lactation Blend Dietary Supplement (Nursing Support)Formulated for Women By Dr Tori Hudson Ingredients per 2 capsules (daily dosage):Fennel seed 225 mgNettles leaf 150 mgBlessed thistle 150 mgVervain 150 mgHops 100 mgOat Straw 100 mgRaspberry leaf 100 mgGoat's rue aerial parts 100 mgChaste tree berry 100 mgFenugreek seek 50 mgMilk thistle seed extract (80% Silymarin) 50 mgBorage seed oil (12.5% GLS) 50 mgBorage flower and top 25 mg DaltonNo virus found in this message.Checked by AVG - www.avg.comVersion: 2012.0.1869 / Virus Database: 2092/4600 - Release Date: 11/06/
Guest guest
Gotta mention that if these are powdered herbs in capsules, mom doesn't really know that they are what they say they are. . . Lynn in MO
Guest guest
I took this supplement myself, while struggling with my milk production. At the dose suggested on the bottle, I didn't notice an increase in supply. I was also taking other herbs. (I have posted my 'story' on this group before: only when I started taking much higher doses of Fenugreek - along with various other things such as this 'lactation blend' - did I suddenly see my production jump up to where I needed it.)
