reduced supply possible with amoxicillin?

Anyone have experience with mom's supply decreasing due to antibiotic use? Mom of 9 mos old treated for sinus infection with amoxicillin said after 3 days on this her supply began to diminish despite her drinking lots of extra fluids. I seem to remember something about this possibility but can't remember where I heard it. Thanks.
