Abnormal fatty acids????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear All,

Just got a very confusing and quite scary phone call from our Consultant pead at

our local hospital saying that they have found from a blood test that he has

abnormal enzymes in his fatty acids which can be caused by one of many

conditions and could also have caused his pmg.

She really did'nt seem to know what she was talking about and said that

would be called down to Great Ormond Street for further test to distinguish

which type of this secondary illness he had!!!

Has anyone ever heard of or had any experience of this as she seemed to think

this was pretty serious but had very little info and has left me terrified

is on his last legs!!!

and 10 weeks with CPBS.
