Guest guest
Hey all, I rarely post here anymore and I haven't been reading many posts either. For those who are new here, my story is basically for almost a decade I was given over 20 different psychatric medications which caused me to become mentally ill. My libido was destroyed from Prozac, the very first psychiatric drug I took and worsened with each brain- damaging medication I took next. I have been free of all psychiatric drugs since the summer of 2007 through the use of Dr. Breggin's books. While I am feeling better off of the drugs, I am still far from being the person I was before taking any of those poisonous meds. And now the update. I've made an attempt to distance myself from reading about psychiatry, medications etc. and trying to live a normal life. I've been trying to apply biologic1981's theory. I've gotten a lot more friends and have been taking all sorts of fun classes that require me to be talkative and social instead of burying my head in a book. I'm surprised at what I've been able to do. Sadly, no matter what I have been doing and accomplishing, I am still dead emotionally. Eating good helps somewhat with mood but not with the PSSD portion. I have switched back and forth between eating healthy and eating junk food just to see what happens. If I have high carbs, caffeine etc., my system gets completely out of whack. I also noticed that when I work out, my PSSD gets much worse. I do not get " sweaty feet " like biker mentioned though. I really do not know what else to do in order to recover. I guess I have some questions since I have been gone. 1) Has anyone else recovered or gotten any positive progress lately? 2) What happened to brianbeezly? 3) What's the latest on the PSSD articles and book? 4) What happened to 's Withdrawal and Recovery group? 5) Anything else I can do to increase dopamine without more psych meds?
