Hi Marsha

I am in Missouri too!

I am sorry you are missing your Mom right now and about your pain.

I am glad they gave you some med that seems to be helping though.

Praying your father's test goes well today.

Hi All,

Just got back from my doctor appointment I told him how the weekend before

Thanksgiving I went to the ER I felt like I was kicked in the chest and then

later that day my arm was hurting.

He looked at me and said it is your RA-I said how pain in my chest he reached

over and pressed on the spot on my chest which gave me the same pain just not as

strong but really hurt. Then he checked my feet, they do know what spot to hit

which makes me want to hit him and my shoulders are really bad.

He add to my hydroxychloroquine 200 mg. with sulfasalazine 500 mg. I don't know

if it is all in my head but 45 minutes my shoulders felt better I can sit with

out my arm aching so much that I can't sit still. I still feel it if I raise my

arm which I am not allowed to do any shoulder raises with weight, yes I work out

with weights since I ride horse I need the strength but no more. I am going to

try to drink more water he is great he understands my thyroid problem since he

has the same thing so he takes care of my meds. I use to have to drive an hour

and a half to get to a doctor that would give me Armour but not now.

He is 15 minutes away and takes care of my everyday stuff too. I see what will

be down the road in his waiting room I want to hug them and say I am so sorry

this sucks but they are in such pain some of them.

Sorry to go on I didn't realize how much pain I was in until this pill it took

the edge off pretty quickly. Even if it is all in my head that this pill worked

so quickly let it last please!

Plus my father is in North Carolina, this year he had prostrate surgery due to

cancer well he got through that great. He has been having diarrhea and losing

alot of weight no doctor could find it finally a specialist that did his

prostrate surgery recommend a doctor and they are doing test today I am having a

hard time getting through this day. You see my mother died of Cancer 5 weeks

after they found it I saw her in the hospital the first two weeks, I live in

Missouri so I had to come home for a couple weeks the week before I was to go

back home she passed away. I miss her so much at Christmas time she love

Christmas so so much now her I sit waiting for another call.

Thank you all for being out there no one understand how some days I am scared,

made or just hurting.

Dontcha love it when they make you leave hurting more than when you

came in?<g>

Well, just remember that the goal for us dressage riders is to make

those horses light in our hands. ;-)

Seriously, I bought Dillon after I came down with RA. He had had a

beginner hanging on his face before I bought him, and had developed

the habit of lugging at the bit from time to time. As much as it

went against the grain, I had to put him in a stronger bit until he

learned not to do that in order to protect my hands and shoulders.

I didn't have to use it for long before I had him back in a snaffle,

but there was no way my shoulders could take half-halts strong

enough to counteract the lugging when he first arrived.

I certainly hope it will keep working for you! And I'll keep your

Dad in my prayers. My parents have both been through

cancer/treatment too, so I know how hard it can be on everyone. If

it give you hope, I'll tell you that my Dad's prostate surgery was

completely successful, and he has been cancer free for 10 years

now. My Step Mom had stage 3 metastacized cancer all through her

intestines. The best prognosis they would give her was that chemo

would " buy her some time " . Four years later, and she is still in

complete remission. We know every day is a gift, but we keep hoping

we've seen the last of it.
