I just thought I would mention that it used to be against Paypal's TOS to ask

buyers/customers to pay Paypal's fee and Paypal considered it the cost of doing

business. I have no idea if that practice is still prohibited, but I just wanted

to throw that out there, particularly if we end up with clients who are savvy to

the Paypal " rules " and maybe we can investigate if that is still an issue.

I've been away for the weekend so not sure to what you are referring. But if it has to do with those that are attending the webinar, of course we would pay that since the groups co-ordinator is not doing this as a business thing. And I have noticed that there is a block for paying the fee on the customer end if you are paying by credit card. Also, just throwing it out there, because I haven't seen what it being talked about, as yet. Cheryl, The discussion is about how clients might be paying us via credit cards. My particular post was in response to someone's comment that they ask the client to pay the "Paypal fee", but that it is against the credit card companies' rules and it used to be (and may still be) against Paypal's Terms of Service to ask that. Whether or not that extends to all payments, including whatever webinar you're talking about or other things, that's not something I know about. The loophole for paying without the seller or buyer incurring fees is to indicated the payment as a "gift", but then as a client/buyer, if you want to file a claim with Paypal for not getting the service that you were promised, you have no claim because you said you were sending a gift and not paying a service. Because we could be on both the buyer AND seller side of this, just something to think about.I have recently taken group Webinars and had no problem paying the coordinator's fee. Hi , Thanks for clarifying. I knew that several girls were setting up webinar groups and asking for the fee to be paid and didn't really think you were talking about that but wanted to make sure. Yes, the fee for a client has to be eaten by us. I have only had two pay for a Pump in Style purchase in this way and haven't offered it to anyone else, for to get the sale I had to make it less expensive than Babies R Us and their stupid 15% off coupon and then I got docked another 8.00 for the paypal fee. Hardly worth my time. I'm lucky to sell one in a years time. Yes, I've thought about adding an extra cost to somene paying through paypal but then that would be adding a cost to anyone using a credit

card and then I would have no business and that's no better than a gas station that charges less to those paying with cash, which is really illegal. It's all just the cost of doing business. I guess when your the little guy you just feel it more quickly. Thanks for the information, I didn't know that about the gift button and no recourse.
