Guest guest
Hi , Hope you enjoyed your WW event! I think I have that FIRM (rec'd it in a trade). I agree about - that is why she is not one of my favorite instructors!!I hope your back and foot are ok - what happened to your back??Donna Subject: FIRM Target Toning Zero-in-TenTo: exercisevideos Date: Friday, May 11, 2012, 12:24 PM I woke up this morning with my back still bugging me and my right foot bugging me too but in a different place. Very weird. Not sure it is anything to be concerned but I stuck to my plan to take it easy today. I went to some yard sales (a little walking) and did some shopping. I went to 5 Below (cool store with everything $5 and less) and they still had DVDs I'd seen a month or so ago and bought myself The FIRM Target Toning Zero-in-Ten as a Mother's Day gift for $5! I'm previewing it now as I write and I did one of the workouts from it earlier. Each of the 5 workouts is 10 minutes and they're led by either or Rebekah, each alone. The DVD is set up just like the 10 Minute Solution videos so you can customize your workout too. I did the "Bikini Body Blaze" cardio workout with . I modified heavily but at least kept in motion for 10 minutes. I didn't do any of the high impact (and there was a lot, including squat jumps). It was athletic and, unmodified, would be quite a nice 10 minute challenge. It is intervals, 45 seconds of a move at 3 levels and 15 seconds of walking or other active recovery. Each interval exercise is different so no boredom. The levels start out low impact and low key and I did most of those, where it bothered my back I just walked in place. They build in impact and intensity and she encourages you to pick whatever level works for you. The only criticism I have is that is like a woman on speed. She talks lightening fast and changes moves almost as fast too so it was a little hard to keep up with the first time through but the moves are uncomplicated so it would be easy to get them another time through. I'm watching the other workout she does ("Burn Burn" cardio with body weight sculpting moves) and she seems much more under control (thankfully because she was a bit hard to take in that other one). Rebekah's workouts are equally uncomplicated but look good (and she moves at a normal speed too)! This looks to have been a good buy for $5 and I don't even feel too guilty about spending it either! :-) Those are each lower body, upper body or core focused workouts. I'm going soon to a WW party at our franchise owner's amazing house (Florine Mark for anyone familiar with her). Her personal chef cooks for us, there's music (last year she had a 4 piece quartet playing), complimentary valet parking and years of service awards. She did it for the first time last year and it was really nice so she decided to make it an annual event. I'm carpooling to it with some friends I don't work with anymore but used to so I'm looking forward to seeing them too. I just passed 5 years but probably won't get my award until next year (just the way they seem to do it). Anyway, should be a nice afternoon but I'm glad I moved at least a little today. That's 5 days in a row of doing some kind of exercise! I haven't done that in months! Hooray! I hope everyone else has great days!
