Guest guest
Oh darn, June is tomorrow, isn't it? My loose plan is to follow this rotation: Upper body core (pilates and other abs/core workouts) lower body (floor) stretching/yoga I want to also slot in specific workouts on specific days soon so I make sure I get as much variety as I can so I don't get bored. Will post that when I get around to it. I went to the footy doctor today and my toes (thankfully) finally feel good but my heels both are still sore just toward the very back on the bottom and it didn't start to get bad until yesterday (and still wasn't as bad as it has been). So he did another ultrasound treatment on them and an anti-inflammatory shot in my hip. I told him about my DH's job and he told me not to worry, come in, get treated at no charge, we've come so close, he wants me to be totally healed, he doesn't care how much longer it takes. Wow, so, so nice. I am so blessed and so thankful, I was really worried about that. I'm going to continue through at least June to do mostly non-impact exercise, possibly some light walking later in the month but we'll see, I really do not want to push it, I just want it all healed. My cardio fitness is going to heck but I'll recover it later, at least if I can walk anywhere, anytime pain free I'll be very happy with that. DH's boss also told him (today was his last day and last paycheck) that he's going to talk to his partner about paying our health insurance for June too, they know even though they gave him 2 weeks notice it is still rough and that is so incredibly kind too. Another blessing. No new job yet, lots of leads he's still following up on, lots of people telling him to call this person or give me a resume and I'll give it to this other person. Something will open up for him, I'm sure of that, just when, I don't know (that's still hard, yesterday I was really down, today I'm doing well, I'm a human emotional rollercoaster). Anyway, off to dinner with some friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. My girlfriends know my situation and invited me to come and told me they'd pay for me (and that I couldn't argue with them about it). I am so blessed. June rotations What's everyone doing? Donna has her Long's and yoga... what about the rest of you? Judy? More T'ai Cheng? Cola Pop? are you still kickboxing? Indy, yardwork and Turbo Fire? - Winsor Pilates? Jen, swimming and volleyball? As for me, I'll continue the one body part per day 5 days a week for lifting and some machine cardio, but after doing Turbo Fire last night I'd like to do the rest of them this month. I've done all the Fire workouts, stretch workouts, and strength workouts in the series, but I think I've only done one or two of the HIIT workouts, so once I'm done with all the Fire workouts this second time around I'd like to tackle all of the HIIT workouts. Oh! And on Mondays I'm taking Zumba at the gym since my favorite instructor for that format is back. YAY!
Guest guest
WOW, that is sooooo kind of your doctor to continue treating you at no charge, ! I've never heard of that! It's nice to have insurance and extra month too. Your rotation looks good, you have the framework down, that the important thing! Hugs Oh darn, June is tomorrow, isn't it? Guest guest
The yard work is tapering off, and I've been doing the Turbo Fire workouts, scattered amongst the odd ones (tonight I did Tae Bo) and a little treadmill running. I was amazed at both how fast the weight jumped on me over a vacation weekend, and how fast it came off again. Scary to think what it would be like if I had allowed it to " stick " back on me! Guest guest
Thank you, ! I really feel like it is a good rotation for me right now and I think I'll enjoy it too. When DH was laid off 4 years ago my oncologist told me the same thing. So awesome. Michigan has had it reallllllly bad and people here try to take care of each other as best we can when we can. That's one good thing that has come from all this, a lot of people reaching out to each other more so than ever before I think. June rotations What's everyone doing? Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad to hear about the kindness of others!!! It is uplifting! I hope things make a complete turn around for you soon. I like your rotation and i think you are smart to allow your foot to completely heal before doing anything more strenuous. Guest guest
Hi Donna, Some more possibly good news today. A recruiter saw DH's resume on monster.com and emailed him about an opportunity in Lansing (about an hour from us). It would be a 1 year contract position that could go longer. DH & the recruiter talked and she was going to show his resume to the client. We're just waiting for her to get back with him, hopefully Monday. Today was his first official day being unemployed too so this was a neat blessing. Not sure if it will go anywhere or if the money will be enough (just has to cover our basic expenses, including health insurance though a little more would be nice too) but we'll find out soon. Nice bit of hope today though. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts on my rotation too! :-) June rotations What's everyone doing? Donna has her Long's and yoga... what about the rest of you? Judy? Guest guest
Someone else told me about that too, I need to check it out more (or have DH do it anyway). He got an email today from a recruiter he's been talking with saying he had a few possibilities at Chrysler and wanted to present DH's resume there (and needed a little bit more info for the Chrysler system). I'm trying not to get excited but I am a little. June rotations What's everyone doing? Donna has her Long's and yoga... what about the rest of you? Judy? More T'ai Cheng?
