Guest guest
I don't think the answer for PSSD is anytime soon coming. However it is almost certain that if any of us have residual depression, anxiety or fatigue it is contributing towards our sexual problems. The research ive done suggests the following can help: 1. Eliminating sugar and caffeine from the diet 2. Regular exercise 3. Fish oil supplements 4. Added B12 and Folate 5. Thyroid replacement if deficient and more controversially adrenal replacement either in the form of cortisol or natural glandulars or adaptogens. 6. CBT These do make a certain amount of difference for me but I want more. 5-HTP seems to get a huge rep but it just seems to give me headaches Tyrosine just makes me anxious Ginseng products make me anxious as well I've never tried St s Wort but Id imagine it will have some of the SSRI effects I want to avoid, albeit in a milder form Can anyone give me any more leads? Guest guest
I have a feeling another big contributor to our condition is insulin levels. I think eliminating sugar and caffeine is a really good idea for mood enhancement and the CNS. Also a hypoglycemic diet fairs well for our condition and running too. The more frequent I eat the better I feel emotionally and physically. Balanced meals feel best with protein at every meal and lots of fiber. I am starting to taper off ativan right now after being on them for chronic facial pain for almost 1.5 years now. My diet has been a lot better lately and my sex drive is slightly better as well as my pain tolerance although nowhere near normal. I notice less numbness lately in my balls as well. I think the benzo actually enhanced my pain to a new levels as my gaba levels have been altered even more and I became super dependent on the drug. I'm sick of taking any drugs. Hopefully I can get off this sh*t for good again. I should have been more aware of this but the pain is so intense I tend to lose focus and not care. > > > I don't think the answer for PSSD is anytime soon coming.
