Guest guest
Hello My Friends,I am working with a mom with a 3 month old. She has come to my support group - today is the first time I have really seen her and baby. The mom saw another LC who said the baby had a slight posteriot TT when she was 5 days old. Mom not to keen on frenulectomy. The mom had plugged ducts, mastitis. The baby was born via Caesarean - no labor. This mom has a very forceful letdown. The baby has been getting very fusy at the breast. Mom has also gone back to work - which she feels very conflicted about but states she needs to work. Her letdown is getting more forceful and more painful.I recall a discussion about gut health related to this. Am I making this up? This mom wants to know why it is getting worse instead of better.I did recommend CST and to consider the frenulectomy. The big question is the painful letdown. And the more forceful letdown. She and I actually had a long discussionon gut health and her feelings about all of this. Many thanks for any more ideas.
