Guest guest
I find that first time moms wait the full month. Second time moms are behind the wheel of the car as soon as they feel up to it. Jan Maybe it is 2 weeks? Guest guest
Just a personal anecdote, but I was never given a specific time restriction on driving from any HCP post c-section. I waited until I was off painkillers - drove on day six (and had no issues). However, my physician sister-in-law told me that one should ideally neither drive nor ride in the front passenger seat for two to three weeks after abdominal surgery of any kind, as airbag deployment in an accident could be very harmful to a healing incision - shows how well I listen to family advice ;)KerriKerri Ann KlugewiczLa Leche League LeaderArea Coordinator of Leaders, LLL of Eastern PAIBCLC Candidate 2011kerriklugewicz@...Sent from my iPhone Re: C-Section – how long is the standard time for a mom with a C-section to be allowed to drive?
