Guest guest
Thanks for the recipe, ! Will have to try! You cut the leaves off the stems, cut or tear them into bite size pieces, put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzle them with olive oil then sprinkle them with seasoned salt and bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees, depending on how crispy you want them. Then you have kale chips (like potato chips only healthy)! You could do some other seasonings instead of the seasoned salt and probably could just spray them with cooking spray instead of using oil if you want also. My kids and kid friend who is sleeping over weren't impressed but DH and I really liked them!

I finally found a way to really like kale! (I haven't made soup with it yet but might do that too now.) It is virtual bulletin boards you create by "pinning" images to them. I pinned the recipe for the kale chips to my "vegetables" board. You can check it out at pinterest.com/nancydewolf. If you don't already belong to pinterest (you have to join and you have to have an invitation to join), you can email me for an invitation to join. I've got a bunch of different food boards plus other ones for workout ideas, fitness inspiration, funny stuff and other things. You can "follow" people's individual boards (or all of their boards) and see the new things they've put up too. I'm having a blast with it! Guest guest
I heard about this from WW people and then saw it on pinterest I've made them! I got the recipe from "Hungry Girl". I loved them, but only when they came straight from the oven. I made enough to save for later so I put them in a storage bag and when I went to have some later they weren't crispy anymore and really not that good. I wish there was a way to keep them crispy because they are really good. ´¨¨)) -:¦:-¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ~-:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
Guest guest
Yum, I will have to try making the kale chips! I love kale, and always mix it in with my daily salad. But I am addicted to tortilla chips , so I am looking for a healthier alternative. Thank you for posting. Guest guest
Me too! I love it in soups, salads, even smoothies. I've made kale chips in a dehydrator, but I end up eating it all right off of the trays! I love kale and use it several different ways. I like to make a raw kale salad. I use the slicing disk in my cheap food processor and run the kale through it, stems and all. I'll also run some carrot and celery through the slicer. I toss that with a dressing that has some kind of acid like lemon juice or vinegar. If you make it the day before, the lemon juice or vinegar softens up the leaves a little without having to blanch it or cook it. Yesterday's salad had a dressing made of avocado, lemon juice, crushed garlic, and some other seasonings. I mixed it all up, added some pine nuts, and left it in the fridge overnight. It was crazy delicious. This is a really inexpensive meal, too. > > > > > > > > > Yum, I will have to try making the kale chips! I love kale, and always mix it in with my daily salad. Guest guest
I noticed the same thing but ate them anyway. I'm going to have to experiment with them and see if there's a way to keep them crispy.
