Hi all,

Today is my 4th bandiversary and as I have spent some time today going over old photos and remembering what it was like to be 214 kgs! These past 4 years have been quite a journey and I must say the best 4 years of my life. I have become healthy and food consious; I've met my soul mate and also made many wonderful friends who have helped me on this journey. I've also faced some of my personal demons and I hope defeated them. I've never felt healthier or happier and I couldn't have done it without Fred (my band!) 5 years ago I was facing an almost certain early death or disability with high BP, borderline diabetes, disabling arthritis and bad asthma. Now I have none of these things , though I still have the damage done by the excess weight in my knees. I have had a TT and now have a wonderfully flat stomach, something I have NEVER had even when a child.I don't have to wear baggy clothes and tops that cover the flabby stomach.

I am still losing (down to 92.3 today) and hope to get to 80-85 by the end of the year. There I will stop as I feel any more and I will start to look a bit old chooky!

I am now loving life and being me so if any one out there is thinking of having any sort of weight loss sugery, go for it...the changes in your life and you are worth it!!

My stats :

Jan 2003 ...214 (or more)

June 23, 2003.....172 kg (after 6 months on optiyuck)

June 23, 2007.....92.3 kg

Total loss.......121.7 kgs

Gone from size 36 to size 16-18

Love to all

Helen from Wollongong
