Guest guest
After seeing the post regarding ABR I started to read everything I could find. And while it looks like it may help some folks, I have to wonder, will it really help a child with PMG? One who's body is fortunately in good " shape " , but who's brain is not? I got the impression that ABR was more for patients with CP or folks who have suffered a TBI or spinal injury. The difference being CP, TBI and spinal patients have or had good mental facilities to start out with and many, not all, PMG patients do not. Basically what I'm coming to grips with is that while we do not know for sure, we have to admit that there is a very good chance that our little guy is mentally impared, and I'm wondering what kind of roll that would play in a therapy like ABR. ABR seems much more focused on the mechanics of the system and assumes the mental connections are or where there, but they just need some tweaking. But with our little PMG'er, those connections are not there, or if they are they are in more of a state of disrepair and need more than a tweak. I guess for the $$$ they are asking, I need more information. Some of the websites were pretty " infomercially " for lack of a better word. And I could not find a single reference to PMG or LISS. I'd be interested to see if anyone else out there can do some research and share what they find. Sorry to ramble. j
