So I went to a couple of clinics and the closest hospital. The closest clinic

that just has one doc who is a DO and some NP wasn't all that friendly but I

know the doc personally so next time I see him I will explain the PPLC and what

it's all about, and I am sure he will refer to me.

The other clinic is the biggest in the city next to where I live with several

peds and family practice docs. They were so nice. One of the docs who I used

to work with and saw my twin daughters once even came out and spoke with me. He

took half my materials and said he would give them to the peds and left the

other half for the office manager to give to family practice docs. They even

called me a couple of hours later asking where I lived because they had a

patient over an hour away they wanted to refer me to. I said right now I

probably would see her but would have to charge extra for milage and time, she

never did call but at least I know they remembered my visit. Also I have a date

to go in a couple of weeks to take cookies and be in the break room (kind of a

meet and greet). I also really like idea of the jar with a sticker with

my info I will definitely use that in a few places like the local OB office.

Then I went to the local hospital and spoke to the LC. I used to work with her

before I sat for exam so she is familiar with me and was so supportive and

helpful. She said she would give my info out at her support group or refer moms

who needed it when they were discharged. She also explained that the peds

office that was rude to me only had on RN who just sat for the exam and doesn't

know her results yet but it doesn't sound like she'll be focusing on LC consults

but instead doing her nursing stuff and then helping out a little with

breastfeeding so I will definitely drop stuff over there next week too.

Thanks for all the good advice it is appreciated and I am using it. I also feel

like I learn a lot just by listening to you experiences.

So thanks to everybody that posts!
