Guest guest
Well, I guess it shows how differently people react to drugs. 5htp made me feel more normal then I had been in years. My thinking became clearer, my mood lifted, and anxiety came back. Only problem was that it caused this inexplicable depression, I would just feel depressed. I realized though that 5htp lowers dopamine and apparently taking tyrosine could help fix this. I didn't know this at the time so I started taking fish oil to counter it and this and I went from feeling depressed to nothing at all. I wasn't taking pure epa though I was taking one with epa/dha > > > > > > > > > > > > From: chris jack <jak_1982_likes_ mixingyahoo (DOT) co.uk> > > > > > > Subject: Amazing recovery > > > > > > To: SSRIsex@yahoogroups .com > > > > > > Date: Thursday, March 5, 2009, 3:51 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > WOW, > > > > > > > > > > > > I have had the best and most refreshing nights sleep ever since I > > > can remember, since I had was on the SSRIS, > > > > > > my body always felt like it was in the fight r flight mode, > > > everything I perceived as a threat, > > > > > > > > > > > > Now supplimenting myself with trytophan (think thats how you spell > > > it) helped with my dream recall and was giving me good sleeps, but > > > > > > since I added High strength EPA/DHA to my diet, two days in and I > > > have had the most refreshing night ever. Guest guest
I'm not sure the exact dosage that I took at the time since I took liquid extract. The problem with yohimbe is that too little won't make an effect but too much can harm the nervous and circulatory system. It's hard to find the right dosage which I'm guessing differs from one person to another. I went back on the fish oil a few days ago and have been taking a high amount of it each day. I definitely notice my depression is gone and I have a clearer mind. But as for the sex aspect it's still about the same. I started taking lots of cocoa today and I'm going to see if that can make a difference. I read in this book " the orgasmic diet " that it can help along with fish oil for sexual dysfunction. While I do think it lowers blood pressure and increases circulation I'm not sure how it would benefit the nerves which I think is the issue with sexual dysfunction. With the fish oil, exercise, and cocoa I have really strong erections so the circulation is fine but the sensation is what's still lacking... I have heard about Methyl B-12 helping restore feeling in the nerves. I'm going to read more about it and see before I purchase some. But as far as those here with erectile problems I think a combo of fish oil, lots of cocoa, and lots of exercise can help the circulation issue. Now I'm gonna try to find sumthin for nerve function. > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? I wonder if there is a dosage where you can get benefits without the heart palpitations.. > I have some but haven't tried it yet. > Vornan > > > Yohimbe bark extract is also amazing at restoring and intensifying sensation but it's really bad for the circulatory system unfortunately and I got heart palpitations while on that so I stopped it too... >
Guest guest
I agree with you about yohimbe. On paper it should be great for treating PSSD, but it has a very narrow therapeutic window. Take too much of it and it can mess you up. I got some 2.5 mg tablets of yohimbine (the active ingredient), and might try titrating it, but I keep putting it off because of potential side effects. I also agree that cocoa is great for circulation and overall health. Pity it also raises serotonin! Vornan > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? Guest guest
Do you know what would help chronic premature ejaculation from the liithium I took in the past and that I still have now. And restore my body back to how it was before I took it. I have numbness also. > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? Guest guest
For me if anything yohimbe worsens PSSD but that was because it was probably taken more doses than I needed. It completly killed my sensation but it gave me an erection that wont go away, which is pretty annoying without a libido. I dont know how some people take this stuff without feeling the side effect. Maybe it can have some different effect if it is taken in very careful doses. I tried interesting supplement called TMG or betaine used for help liver and has antideprssant effect. I was just doing some internet searching and came across TMG which is related to choline, methionine and SAM-e. On ray sahelian's website he says he experienced increase libido while taking TMG and other mental benefits. So i was ok, it helps liver, and increases libido while having antidepssatn effect, sounds good to me. So I decided to try it, interestingly it did boost my libido for I think for 2 consecutive days but also came this severe anxiety and depression like symptoms which I couldnt take, it felt similar to L-methionine/SAM-e. I thought this was wierd because SAM-e didnt do crap for my libido. so on the 3rd day I took it one more dose to confirm, and I dont notice any libido boost. oh well. > > > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? Guest guest
actually l-methionine is interesting supplement. Ive tried it before. Im very sensitive to it for some reason. its the only amino acid that make me feel sick. so maybe there is some connection with histamine. My experience was one time on one dose it made me really dead tired felt sick but at the same time i got really horny. my sensitivity came back and orgasm felt normal. but it only last very short time and makes me feel sick. Not to confused l-methionine with SAM-e, they have totally different affect on me, much like how tryptophan and 5-htp are different. > > > > > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? Guest guest
Before pssd, I actually had severe stuffy nose. but when i was on SSRI, my sinus problem improved. now after SSRI, my sinus problem feels like its in between. Im slightly confused to whether we currently have high or low histamine. I dont know how reliable this site is but I have both signs of low/high histamine. Im sort of leaning toward high because pssd gives me sensitivity to pain and light sleeping, but easy orgasm and high libido ? I dont know. more like painful orgasm without pleasure. check it out http://www.healthrecovery.com/HRC_2006/Depression_06/D_roller_coaster.htm > > > > > > > > > > > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? Guest guest
Hi. Thanks for the informative post. Maybe you can help me with something. I have PE and the typical dopamine related problems (erection, low libido, etc.). I believe at one point during my 8 year SSRI/SNRI period of being on and off all sorts of shit (on 85% - 90% + of the time) that I also had PGAD (persistent genital arousal disorder), although this is not the case anymore, since getting off of Celexa last year. How would you explain this mix of symptoms? It makes it difficult to know what supplements I should take, what to avoid, etc. Any help from anyone knowledgeable in these matters would be much appreciated. I'm only just starting to make these connections. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? Guest guest
if SSRIs are antihistamine, that means we were low on histamine while we were taking them which prevented orgasm ? but orgasm still feel the same af if im on SSRI, does this mean we could still have low histamine ? i wonder if anyone here have tried l-histidine. i found this one guy mentioning about histidine, I dont know where he got his facts but he talk about SSRI depleting histidine. " Histidine, after being converted to histamine, is released in large amounts during orgasm. It is thought that SSRIs, which increase serotonin, deplete the body of Histidine, since Histidine is one of the amino acids used to make Serotonin. Histidine deficiency hampers ability to orgasm. Guest guest
ive tried niacin, folic acid, and b12. I dont know what to think of it. I think I had better response with just folic acid and niacin together. Im not sure about b12. Most noticeble thing was after pssd im sure which everyone here is expericning too is that it feel like your balls are about to fall off, meaning its really saggy. when I take this combo it shrivels back up again and everything feels very tight. as for orgasm ?, felt the same, visual stimuli ?, sort of, libido ?, not much but sort of excited maybe from the flushing sensation. also I think my nose became stuffier im guessing thats a good sign ? so are we low or high histamine ? Reason I ask is that cialis also causes a stuffy nose effect. Kavy " what do you mean ? --------------- " I'm wondering if the niacin, folic acid, b12 combo effects the function of smooth muscle. Reason I ask is that cialis also causes a stuffy nose effect. I just wanted to post this question because it would be interesting to research if there is a connection. " if your curious, give folic acid/niacin a try . its relatively cheap. I got folic acid at walmart for $2 and niacin at GNC for $5 --------------- > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe? Guest guest
'Most noticeble thing was after pssd im sure which everyone here is expericning too is that it feel like your balls are about to fall off, meaning its really saggy'. Unerect, mine feels like cottonwool, a realy unpleasant feeling; erect, more like a piece of balsa wood. It just lacks feeling and life. I feel like a whole part of me is missing. What was once an incredible potency and drive is now all gone. Kavy > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > What was your dosage of yohimbe?
