There used to be great information on that site. I would refer parents to it. A

couple of months ago I noted that all the information was gone. I have meaning

to bring it up on the list.

I thought perhaps Alison wanted us to buy her book instead.

,Who is part of the IATP ?  You said you met in Montreal last year. I would have loved to be part of this meeting.  I live in Montreal. If ever you have another Montreal meeting, please let me know if it is possible to join. I am very interested in the subject of tongue-tie and work very hard in my work to change the physicians’ attitudes about the impact of TT on breastfeeding. I believe you are thinking of, http://www.tonguetie.net/

It is still there the site is owned and managed by Carmen , a speech-language pathologist based in Sydney, Australia. She sells a book, also, "Tongue-Tie - From Confusion to Clarity : A Guide to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Ankyloglossia," it is one of those books that should be on your LC shelf. She has much information on her site.

No, I am referring to the International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals'

website.

Some of the topics are no longer there. FAQ and the photos are missing for

example.

And the book I am referring to is written by Alison Hazelbaker. Has anyone

bought it?

Yup - have had the book since the ILCA conference last year and have used it quite a bit. It has an interesting style......full of LOTS of info! Do recommend it. Use it quite a bit - esp when talking to midwives and other LCs (and maybe a doc once in while).

And I would love (love!) to be part of the Affiliation but always wondered if they wanted a "just" IBCLC - am not a researcher or doc or anything except an LC who sees (lots - it seems) of tongue ties.

take care

Oh c'mon.....I read your posts here and on Lactnet and I have to tell you......you aren't 'just' an LC! But thanks for responding. I know what you mean and so if its ok, yes, I'll contact her 'cause I really really really want to be part of this new learning.

thanks

beth
