Guest guest
why isn't she writing the letter herself? that would make the most sense. You can sign it if you wish. Her baby will be 6 weeks at the time of the test. There is only one 30 minute break during the day and she is wanting to request an additional break to either pump or feed in the morning and one in the afternoon. The kicker is she has to turn in the letter by this Friday in order to have it considered and she just called me today. Does anyone have a letter that requests similar accomodations (from jury duty, a job, custody situations, etc.) that they might be willing to share? I would greatly appreciate it. I know it has to exist somewhere and seeing as I am really pressed for time I'd rather not completely reinvent the wheel. Thank you in advance! Guest guest
The board she has to request accomodations of wants requests to be made by professionals that can verify the " disability " that is requiring the accomodations to be made. She is sending in a request, but she wants back up from a certified lactation consultant and also the baby's pediatrician. Guest guest
Remember, Dierdre, this baby was not a surprise! The mother had 9 months to figure out what would be expected on test-taking day. I seriously doubt she just suddenly decided to sit for a board exam. Quit making yourself crazy over something that this mother could have easily handled with plenty of time to spare. Guest guest
Makes sense though, if she didn't realize she wouldn't get extra breaks. As long as she is paying you to write the letter.... I would include some links to research that shows milk supply can be reduced and introducing artificial nipples to a breastfed baby is counterproductive for a breastfeeding mom. > > > > Â > > The board she has to request accomodations of wants requests to be > made by professionals that can verify the " disability " that is > requiring the accomodations to be made.
