Guest guest
I'm so sorry to hear you've been feeling so awful, Carolyn! Sounds like you are doing some great things to take good care of yourself though, so smart! I hope tomorrow is a much better day!!! Hugs, P.S. I was thinking of you as I was driving all over the planet Tuesday (I drive about 60 or 70 miles total with all the classes I do on Tuesdays) and our discussions about the driving and foot/toe pains. I felt my right foot pinging me and realized I drive with just my toes on the pedal. Because I'm not quite 5' tall I worry about the air bag injuring me so I try to keep my seat back as far as I can. That means I'm using only my toes to drive and that puts a lot of pressure on that tender part of my foot. I decided to experiment with putting the seat up a little further and use more of my foot on the pedal. I think it helped a little though I'm not sure yet and am going to continue trying it for now. I'll let you know if I come to any conclusions though. update ... i had to take yesterday (wed) off completely, i felt awful with a head cold and every muscle in my body aching, stupid ribs were killing me. i stayed in the hot tub for an hour, it was the only time i felt good. i layed around and slept alot and drank alot of water and juice and doubled up on the emergen-c. needless to say, the cardio workout scheduled that day was cancelled.i woke up this morning feeling quite a bit better ... about 75%. i considered doing x-factor 1 as per schedule, but was facing a full shift in the deli at noon and wasnt sure i was feeling up to it. got in the hot tub, took an aleve and a cold/sinus pill and went. shift went well ! i feel pretty good tonight at 10pm, maybe 90% !i got alot of steps in at work, around 14K :)plan is to get another good rest tonight and do xfactor 1 (second time) tomorrow (fri). then cardio saturday, and i will be on schedule to do xfactor 2 on sunday. im getting alot more hours in the deli so im glad that the xfactor workouts are relatively short. of course short doesnt mean easy!:*carolyn. Guest guest
I know what you're talking about regarding straightening the seat, I've done that too and it does help. I have to take the time to play with the seat more (it is all manual so not a lot of adjustments, but enough, I think) to strike a balance between foot comfort and not being on top of the steering wheel. Adding that mentally to my to do list for tomorrow... :-) Re: update ... >That means I'm using only my toes to> drive and that puts a lot of pressure on that tender part of my> foot. Guest guest
oops, forgot to do it today. And I'm so tired now I'm not really sure why I'm still on the darn computer. Gotta go get some laundry folded and go to bed soon! Will try to remember to do it before I head out tomorrow morning (long drive to work too) Re: update ... >Adding> that mentally to my to do list for tomorrow... :-)yes, i need to fool around with my drivers seat more too, and also check the oil !tomorrow!:*c. Guest guest
>Will try to remember to do it > before I head out tomorrow morning (long drive to work too) i expect to be driving to work this morning and saying 'oops... forgot to check the oil'. i will try to adjust my seat while driving (even though it is a manual one) so i should be able to get that done at least. ::sigh:: :*c.
