Hi everyone, I've been registered for a while, but only lurking. I

have today made appts to see both Dr Ritchie and Dr

nsen. Can anyone of here give me some feedback on either Dr. I

tried Optifast for 3 months at the beginning of the year with some

success (lost 10kgs) however it played havoc with my blood pressure

causing it to drop really low and I was almost passing out, even though

I was drinking all the water you are supposed to with it and having a

bowl of steamed veg for lunch as well.

Anyway any advice would be gratefully accepted on the Drs mentioned

above.

Cheers

Gail

Hi Gail,

Welcome to Sydband!

I have only heard really positive things about the doctors you mentioned. I am sure that some of the others here will be able to give you more feedback.

Welcome to the group!

Best wishes,

- (Libby)

Thanks for the advice Elaine.

I too work in the City and Dr Ritchie's rooms are in the building

directly behind my office. But I live in Sutherland and Dr

nsen's rooms would probably be just as convenient.

Guess I'll have to wait until after my appts to make a decision.

Hi there Gail...

And welcome to our band of merry bandits. I don't know anything about

either of these surgeons you mention, but I can assure you that they

both have great reputations.

Don't worry, I pass out if I just look at a container of Optifast.

Nasty, nasty stuff!

Does Dr nsen do the fills in his rooms? That is something to take into

consideration and how much he charges. Dr Ritchie does them downstairs and

you are out of pocket about $30.

Hi Gail,First of all welcome to the group!I believe both Drs have very good reputations - My Dr is DR Ritchie and i really trust and admire him and also find him very convenient as i work in the city and he has offices there as well as at Eastwood - but i do know that those who go to Dr nsen are very happy with him too so maybe the choice would be which is more conveniently located! ElaineHi everyone, I've been registered for a while, but only lurking. Dr Talbot is lovely and makes you feel like you have been friends

with him for years and years. I thought about going to his Miranda

rooms but the Kogarah ones are easier to get to from work. I live

in Riverwood and work at Bankstown.
