Hi Carlton

He is a real sweetie isnt he. He has made me feel confident that I can

achieve this.

Yes he is laid back and he just talks like he knows you. He understands

that you are stressed about seeing him and what you are about to go thru.

I was a little upset in my last appointment and he started to look at what I

had already achieved. I thought he would look at weight lose from the date

of the op but no he said we start when you started optifast.

You have to go on this for two weeks and he sells some form of optifast (dr

someone) but I found Tony Ferguson nicer.

If you need to know anything dont hesitate to drop me a line.

Good luck and enjoy your journey.

Carlton,

Couldn't agree more. It will be a journey full of excitement and twists and

turns (if anything like mine so far). He is a great surgeon and a very nice

and caring man. You've chosen well.

Keep us posted.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support. Must admit I'm not

looking forward to the optifast bit but we did talk about tony

ferguson and the alternative stuff they sell as well.

I actually started to look into lapband surgery about 5 years ago

but didn't get too far into the process cause I could afford the out

of pocket expenses. If only I known that I could apply to withdraw

sum funds from my super I'd have gone through with it back then.

Oh well better late than never.

Oh I just remembered - I can't handle Optifast at all. Makes me gag to smell it but the one that Dr Talbot sells (Dr MacLeod's) is yummy. The soup is especially good. Also, Celebrity Slim is tolerable with low joule topping added.

Thanks Janie for the tips. I'll have to remember them in about 6-8

weeks time.

I have Dr T as well. I love the way he treats his patients...so caring and forthright.

We even did a little dance in the surgery as sick as he was since I am under the weight they thought I would get too.

Have to go and see him again in a couple of weeks to get a bit more fill...doing little ones at the moment as I am almost at that sweet spot.

Kell thanks. Congratulations and well done for getting under the

weight they thought you would. That's fantastic.

He was pretty sick this week and kept apologising for how this voice

was. What day you going to see him. My next appointment is 17/7/07

but not until 5.30 p.m.
