Guest guest Posted January 27, 2005 Report Share Posted January 27, 2005 Velma, Don't get too upset too quick. La Medicaid will pay if you get the right kind of pre- authorization. Your referring Dr. might have to do some fancy letter witting but they will pay. Keep in mind that once I had found the eye Dr. in Los Angeles it took about five weeks to get the authorization but after I got it they paid for everything. Keep your chin up and don't get too upset. If you push too hard they don't want to help the process along, but can hold you up. I know that the squeaky wheel gets the oil, but sometimes you have to give the person holding the oil a reason to help you. Also there are really good Dr. in New Orleans and Shreveport. If there is any Dr. who can do it LA might require you to go there. This is a really hard situation and very emotional, but you will get Tori the help she needs and everything will work out.
