Guest guest
Here's a thought for those of you who are trying to determine how to bring access to qualified breastfeeding support that can perform evaluations and assessments to your WIC clinics. Our WIC clinics have used their breastfeeding promotion funding to pay for experienced IBCLC's to come to the clinic and be available for clients. And those same IBCLC's are helping with training of the WIC staff by facilitating shadowing opportunities and reviewing talking points, basic instructions etc. Just an idea to consider. For those of you working in areas with sparse access to IBCLC services this might be a way for you to collaborate, and receive reimbursement. No, it will not be $125+ per client, it would be an hourly wage. It still may be a very good opportunity.
