I was having some questions answered by a guy on the yahoo group for

hypogonadism and by chance came across his name on this group. He had

posted a few posts nearly two years ago, though no one seemed to respond

to him. I emailed him for details and he replied and said I could repost

his email here (I'm leaving out his name and email for privacy):

" Hi Shay I have a lot on my plate when I first got sick they could not

figure out what was wrong with me and I was off work on sick leave long

story short they told me I suffer from Major Depression I had to go

along with this because I was off work and need a Dr. to keep getting my

sick pay.

After being on every dam AD drug on the market even some cocktails where

the mixed more the 3 kinds of drugs. I went through this crap for over

5 yrs. Then my BCBS and my job wanted to know why I was not getting any

better. This dam Dr. told them I don't want to get better I like being

like this. Well this put me in trouble with my wife and job.

Later on Prozac come out and I was put on this this all happened some 24

yrs ago. I got a bad bladder infection due to the Prozac slowing down

my voiding. I seen a Uro and this Dr. told me he feels I am not

depressed but that I have low Testosterone he tested me and I did so

next I go into a Re-Hab hosp. to get off all the AD drugs I was on.

Still the Uro was right I have low T but my testis work he said they

don't it's called Primary. I started on TRT and was back to work in 30

days and my wife moved back home. The Uro helped me a lot but he was

wrong I am Seconday my Pituitary does not work. Turns out a bad auto

accident I had some 25 yrs ago were I had a bad head injury damaged my

Pituitary.

So on top of TRT I need to treat my low cortisol, thyroid, aldosterone

and DHEA levels.

After being on TRT for over 23 yrs I just found out I am secondary. I

feel on top of all the SSRI's I was put on all this did was make things

worse.

Today I am doing 70mgs of Depo Testosterone shots every 3 days and the 2

days each in between I do 400 IU's of HCG. I take .5mgs of Arimidex

every other day to keep my E2 Estradiol in check.

I am taking 4 grains of Armour, 25mgs a day of Cortef, 25mgs of DHEA,

200mg of Elemental Iron, and .125mgs of Florinef and feeling good. My

sex life is great I am 63 now and over weight from being house bound for

the last 2 yrs.

levels. I then became a mod for them there forum is not closed but I am

at the new one.
