Guest guest
Anyway, Maylorie and I will do HHH 22 again soon so that we can both get better at it. I LOVE DANCE WORKOUTS. So expressive, and fun to do with anyone! That sounds like a lot of fun. Cool that you can have so much fun while sweating your butt off. ´¨¨)) -:¦:-¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ~-:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
Guest guest
Sounds like you and Maylorie had a blast, ! I had to laugh about your issues with the easier steps because that is totally me (not that the more complicated ones would work either though). Every time I think I have the box step down I totally mess it up and I learned that as part of dance lessons I had in gym class on Fridays in middle school AND I took dance lessons at a studio for at least a few months during that time too (it was dancing for social events) and none of it helped! ;-) I have no idea how long it took me to be able to grapevine without tripping over myself too. I can't remember which video, possible a one in which she does this, which isn't many, where I finally saw it broken down and was able to follow it! I'm so proud of myself when I can at least do that now! :-) (still dance-challenged) Hip Hop Hustle 22! My friend Maylorie came over and the plan was to do Turbo Kick Round 50, however, it was readily apparent that it was too much for her, she hasn't done enough kickoxing and TK *is* advanced if you're doing it straight off the dvd.Chalene always says if you can do the hustle, you can Hip Hop Hustle! So I put in the new routine and it was TONS OF FUN! I was also covered in sweat at the end! This release doesn't have "the show" section where you have a dance off in class. HHH 22 has a warm up, 3 blocks of dances, and at the end for fun you string all three of 'em together. My only critique is that there's not much of a cooldown so I led those myself, the usual supine yoga stretches with a strap, leg up, then out to the side, then over the body to get the hip (ow) and hugging both knees to the chest for 2 minutes to help the ole lower back.Hustle block one was taught by Angie, block 2 by Allie, and block 3 by Meredith. All three of them cued very well! It's so funny the things you think might be tricky are easy, yet I had to rewind and redo the stupid first move in block 3 twice, the step across, step out to the side. I was laughing at how silly hard it was for me to catch on, the complexity is that of a grapevine. I am grateful that after 10+ years of taking GX classes I can finally do a box step without thinking about it. That one has tripped me up I don't know how many times. We did this workout to the dvd, but the cd that comes with it has great music too, and the one I can't stop listening to is Brown's "Turn Up the Music"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQWG8BVeryUAnyway, Maylorie and I will do HHH 22 again soon so that we can both get better at it. Guest guest
Count me in as " dance challenged. " I avoided step routines because of it, and felt a great sense of accomplishment when I FINALLY got Cathe's Basic Step down pat! I have been interested in zumba, but hesitate to even try. Indyrose, who hit a new " low " in weight loss today > > Sounds like you and Maylorie had a blast, ! Guest guest
I know exactly what you mean, it took me a while to get Basic Step down too! I tried zumba a few years ago, with my daughter's Brownie troop. All the moms did it with the girls for one class as a field trip and it was hilarious. At least one of my friends commented on how great my upper body looked (no comment on how silly the rest of me looked trying to do the steps)! :-) Congrats on the new low too!!! Guest guest
Indy, congrats on the new weight loss PR! You can totally do Zumba, and do it live, not on a workout dvd. It's a true party, so much fun with the right instructor! I know exactly what you mean, it took me a while to get Basic Step down too! I tried zumba a few years ago, with my daughter's Brownie troop.
