We have been emailing for a couple of weeks now. Her 8 month old son has Lissencephaly, and this is what she wrote (I have edited names for privacy) Just found out the results of M's DNA testing and found out that he has either a deletion or partial deletion of chromosone 17. (S) and I have to be tested now, it just seems to never end!! I don't know much about the deletion, if you have any good websites or info about this I would love to know. I want to know whether this is going to make it hard for (S) and I to have children normally, or whether there will be a chance of having another child like M. I thought I'd come to the experts here for help and info for this young mum who is just starting out on her journey of life with a special needs child.
