Guest guest
Perhaps over time through exercise and sauna treatments, the drug residues were cleared out from your body, which has allowed your brain to recover. One thing I don't think I mentioned - I noticed usually the day after a sauna treatment it would feel like I was back on Celexa for a brief while - I had that drugged feeling that I remember from 3 years of taking celexa. The feeling would usually pass after a day or so and I would feel much better. Maybe this is due to the point Vornan made earlier - that the chemicals are being purged from the body - my body is reacting to the increase of drug residues into my bloodstream. Guest guest
This information about your feet mighy be relevant information. When PSSD research will have started I hope you will contact the researchers to write them your story. I hope now you already will write down many relevant data for later research, including to what the smell of your feet resembled. What did it smell like? Your story might contain the key to curing PSSD. You are important. You could now already ask your doctor what possibly has been the cause and diagnosis of your smelly feet. That possible diagnosis guide later research. " bikercompany " wrote: > I've told Vornan before that I've had a problem > with sweaty feet for quite some time. Guest guest
Any detail can be relevant in tracking the cure. Guest guest
-Luther, How much niacin were you taking during the detox? And did you monitor your liver enzymes while you were on it? Guest guest
Hi Vornan - I began taking 150mg, but dropped to 75mg after only a few days. At 150mg, the niacin " flush " was pretty strong - my whole body would turn red and itchy. This would last for a couple hours. At 75mg, the flush was much milder. I've read that the flush is actually good for you, as it is a sign of detox (the capillaries are expanding and increasing blood flow). I did not monitor liver enzymes. I read in a couple of places that you only need to worry if you are taking more than 300mg daily. I don't think I'd ever take that much. I may do another course in a month or so. To be honest, the flush at 75mg actually feels pretty good. Guest guest
Hi again, an update is in order. I went back to the gym after being lazy for over two weeks. Being very happy for regaining almost all of my sexuality I " dropped the hammer " good and trained legs. I did some heavy squats and felt the effect for three days. Every single muscle in my lower body was in pain! So the workout was good, but it had an unexpected effect on my libido. The next day I felt my genital sensitivity getting worse. Pretty soon after I lost most of my libido and the ability to feel sexual pleasure diminished. My feet started sweating again. I did not go back to square one this time, but I did lose a lot of the recent progress. I did two more workouts the following days (the last one today) and it seems that working out is somehow connected to the way I feel sexually. I does indeed seem like the workout pushed some SSRI-residue into my bloodstream! The absolutely great seven days I had were the last days of my break from training. As I started lifting heavy again, I felt a setback. But not as bad as the ones I've had before. Could it be that we still have some ingredient of SSRI's trapped inside our system? Working out or running may help you get rid of it, making the symptoms worse at first as the stuff get's into bloodstream and then slowly enhancing the recovery as the stuff get's out of the body..? Now this is just a theory. But somehow it makes a lot of sense. I will not stop training to see if my libido re-emerges. Instead I'll train hard and eat clean for the next six months. I'll go through a strict diet, just like I was preparing for a bodybuilding contest. I'll get rid of all the " baby-fat " in my body and let's see if that helps. This setback that I'm currently having is not that big a deal to me... Before, when I had a bad day I was completely numb sexually, now I still have a weak libido and perfectly normal orgasms. Now I'm just waiting for the next good (or hopefully even better) episode. Biker > > This information about your feet mighy be relevant information. Guest guest
bicker i read a while ago that weight training the leg muscles delivers much more blood the genital region and can make you feel horny. > > > > This information about your feet mighy be relevant information. Guest guest
Biker, Thank you for posting this story. It is very important information for the masses, becuase I recently had the same situation happen to me. I had a spike in my libido and genital sensitivity, shortly after discontinuing a mirapex trial. It seemed like the sensitivity was hanging around longer than normal, and I decided to start my fitness routine for the new year. I did a full body workout, HARDCORE, which left me sore for about a week. Starting the day after my workout, my libido dropped to zero, like negative two, my sensitivity dropped to the worst its ever been, and hasnt really gotten better. I'm going to keep trying to workout and see if I can't flush the rest of this poison outof my body. Biker, when you drop back to numbness, is your penis Physically numb as well. Literally, my penis loses sensitivity physically, to the point where i don't feel much cold from ice cubes. Its like the nerves die or stop working, and orgasm feels pleasureless. Keep up the posting man! Thanks

Guest guest
That's really great news! It's always good to hear that someone has got over this horrible condition. I have now been completely medication free for about 8 months (been off SSRI's for about 18 months) and have tried quite a few things to help with my PSSD (exercise, 2000mg of omega-3 fish oil daily, etc.). Although I have seen slight improvements, it's still far from normal. I got quite excited after reading the post a while ago about a guy being cured of PSSD through Traditional Chinese Medicine, so I thought `what the hell' and visited the TCM doctor not far from here. I told him all about my anxiety, depression and also tried to explain the sexual problems I was experiencing after taking SSRI's but I'm not sure if he fully understood. Much like other doctors that practice western medicine, he put it down to the anxiety and depression. He suggested I give acupuncture a try, and although it didn't really help with things like erections or genital numbness, I have felt generally better over the past few weeks. I've been more positive, relaxed, cheerful , etc. One time after I had acupuncture I even managed to get a whole night's sleep without waking up, which hasn't happened in over a year! I did try some medicine which was supposed to help with anxiety and depression, but it was quite expensive so wasn't able to take it for that long and I'm not sure if it had any effect. I have another appointment with him tomorrow for acupuncture and will see if he can offer some other medicine or herbs that can help with the PSSD. I'm just not really sure what to ask for... I could print off your post, but his English isn't too great and I'm not sure if he would understand it all! I will try to find out more about the medicine/supplements this lady took and discuss them with him tomorrow. If anyone has any advice on how to explain PSSD to the doctor, please feel free to share > > I have been emailed by someone about how she cured her PSSD within a few days. Guest guest
I think if somebody recovers within a few months of coming off SSRIs it's hard to say whether they really had PSSD or not, especially for some drugs like prozac, which take several weeks to be eliminated from the body. But any recovery is good, and these herbs should be investigated. Thanks for forwarding the info. Vornan > > I have been emailed by someone about how she cured her PSSD within a few days.
