I went to see a urologist for the first time today. You all are, I am sure, familiar with their old song and dance. He wants to check my levels, of course. Aside from that, he tells me that SSRIs cannot give you PSSD because their "organic shelf life" is not that long. That, of course, doesn't take into account the possibility that SSRIs cause permanent changes on the genetic level!!! Or, that they may permanently disrupt the neurotransmitters between the brain and genitalia!!! I presume that he is ignorant of these last two possibilities. OR IS HE? He claims that it will go away with time, but of course, I am sure you all have been told the same thing. Just one more wasted visit to the urologist thanks to SSRIs.
