Guest guest
.... I sent him a follow-up email. Notice his responses. Short and to the point: I began to masturbate when I turned 17, 1 to 3 times per week. Maybe this was too much when taking the SSRIs? yes. Considering this, do you still recommend the regimen of ViaPal-hGH-J, 5-HTP, ArgiNOx, and DeToxiA, and FishOil? yes. I started on 50mg zoloft and noticed only minor sexual side-effects, the biggest being unable to ejaculate at times. I was switched to Effexor after 3 years and began to notice decreased libido. I stopped after 8 months and regained some of my libido. However, after a few months of depression, I got back on the Effexor and experienced severe effects after taking the first dose (75mg): dry heaving, chills, frequent urination, insomnia, total loss of sensitivity in my genitals, and not being able to get erections. > > Here are some relevant values from a recent blood and saliva test: > > Total Testosterone: 338 (250 to 1100 ng/dL) > Free Testosterone: 48.3 (35.0 to 155 pg/mL) > Thyroid FT4: 2.1 (0.8 to 1.6 ng/dL) > Thyroid TSH: 2.080 (0.40 to 4.5 uIU/mL) > Luteinizing Hormone: 0.2 (low) > > Estradiol: 0.8 (0.5 to 2.2 pg/ml) > Progesterone: 70 (12 to 100 pg/ml) > DHEAS: 32.7 (2 to 23 pg/ml) > Cortisol Morning: 12.3 (3.7 to 9.5) > Cortisol Noon: 1.8 (1.2 to 3.0) > Cortisol Evening: 1.2 (0.6 to 1.9) > Cortisol Bedtime: 0.2 (0.4 to 1.0) > > So my testosterone is low for my age, Luteinizing Hormone is very low, DHEAS is very high, FT4 is high, and my morning cortisol is too high only to drop too low by bedtime. > > My symptoms include: no sensitivity in my genitals, weak erections, no libido or sex drive, fatigue, insomnia (getting to sleep, staying asleep), ear ringing, dry eyes, low back pain, right knee pain, and slight depression (I have vastly improved upon this in the last few months). > > Currently, my doctor has me taking 25mg five times a week to raise my Luteinizing Hormone and see if that increases my Testosterone. No, it's sort of interesting in a sick way, like watching a televangelist or a particularly creepy reptile at the zoo. " Dr. " Lin is not a physician, and his site gives no specifics about the nature or source of his alleged doctorate. The " about " link leads only to a page hawking his snake oil. Hell, I haven't gotten my Ph.D. yet (although I get frequent offers in my email .. . .) but I rather suspect I know just as much about healing PSSD as any charlatan on the World Wide Web--even the literate ones whose subjects and verbs agree. This " Lin Institute " (or is it the " Orgasm Research Center " ?) is with a doubt the most laughably amateurish scam site I have seen all year. Gotta love the terminology-- " sexual orgasm " (as opposed to the other kind?), " sexual exhaustion " from " over-masturbation " (yeah, don't we wish), " scientific tao " (nice oxymoron)--but do we really need to read past the Penile Enlargement part to know it's bullshit? With a problem as urgent and disturbing as PSSD it is tempting to grasp at straws, but it's really better to resist. The world is full of people who are all too willing to take advantage of other people's desperation. You've already lost your sexual performance. If you want to lose some money, too, I'm sure " Dr. " Lin will be glad to take it. River
