Guest guest
Very interesting and good to see. Were you taking the Cialis & Aurorix during the same cycle? Or 4 weeks Aurorix, 4 weeks Cialis? Cialis is the only drug that I feel improved my situation from a sexual standpoint. But I was bothered by some of the side effects and had to stop. Your dissolve in water method seems like a great idea. Luther > > ...I'm also taking a small amount of Cialis everyday, and cycling that > too (1 month on, 1 month off). Guest guest
Are we talking about Auriox the antidepressant? I thought the idea was to stay away from these as our problem is caused by an antidepressant? Im slightly confused... Voran, you may want to give Mucuna Pruriens another go in teh liquid form if you havnt already tried to help sensation, i can provide the website where i buy from, in the UK however.. For those who asked how i am getting on with Mucuna Pruriens, i am about to start my 2nd cycle of the 3week and 1week course with this herb. I would rather give the definate results at the end of this 2month course i, rather than give updates as i would not want to build up any hopes if it doesnt work out in the end... > > > > ...I'm also taking a small amount of Cialis everyday, and cycling > that > > too (1 month on, 1 month off). Guest guest
interesting to know that this combination is working for you, it would imply that the effects of these things are the route cause of the problem. if taking the maoi which increases the amount of noradrenaline, serotonin, adrenaline and dopamine with cialis which has its effect on nitric oxide then maybe all or a few of these things have been affected by taking the ssri, when i took arginine which converts to nitric oxide with pycnogenol which is supposed to stimulate the enzyme responsible for that conversion, i got night time and morning erections. when i stopped taking these two things the erections also stopped!! i believe that nitric oxide is first released from nerves in the penis that initiate an increased flow of blood to that point, then as pressure builds up inside the penis more nitric oxide is released from pressure exerted on endothelial cells in the penis, something disrupting this process will produce an inability to get an erection. if ssris have effected this mechanism then i find it interesting how drugs companies have drugs to cause this problem and also to solve it, as everyone with pssd has at least a response the a nitric oxide viagra type drug! i personally suspect foul play! and it would be interesting to find out what the earliest case of pssd is!!! as ssris were around before drugs like viagra came about!!!! and no case of this happening in the years before drugs like viagra is pretty damming evidence!!! that points towards additional compounds being manufactured into the already regulated compounds... however the fact that your taking the maoi and you feel its also contributing to the effects your having is intriguing, if you feel the increased amount of neurotransmitters are having an effect then my theory is either a reduction of your own neurotransmitter production or a reduction in the amount or susceptibility of the brain and skin receptors for all or some of these neurotransmitters. being on ssris will decrease the amount or susceptibility of receptors specific to the ones that are in an increased amount by the inhibition of there re-uptake. after discontinuing an ssri your own production of the neurotransmitters involved will be insufficient enough to stimulate the reduced/resting or dare i say damaged receptors. your brain will always try and find its own equilibrium, if time alone dose not resolve the problem then it would be reasonable to assume that permanent damage has taken place by the ssri. and in that case the only line of hope would be that of stem cell treatments for parkinson's... it would be helpful if the drug companies gave us a better explanation of a ssris effects like how do they inhibit the re-uptake of serotonin? its my guess that molecular binding has something to do with it and possibly in some individuals binding is permanent or binding is frequent or long lasting enough to damage synapses... mri has shown that long periods of time on ssris actually changes brain structure... it would be interesting to see the effects on brain activity of a patient with pssd while undergoing an fmri scan while being subjected to erotic images, and then comparing them to a normal control subject... it would be even more interesting to find a doctor that has been on ssris.... as i don't believe you will find one!! another theory of mine if your interested is the guts or bowels or intestines, ive read that drug reside can linger around for quite some time so the possibility of prolonged sustained release after discontinuing any drug is a possibility.....colonic for everyone then....i don't hold much hope this being an answer but if there is any truth in this then it may have a limited effect.. > > ...I'm also taking a small amount of Cialis everyday, and cycling that > too (1 month on, 1 month off). Guest guest
I don't know how long all of you have been off antidepressants, but ill tell you it does get better, that's if you not idiots like me. I made it to the 4 year mark and things were allot better, but I guess good was not good enough. I went on wellbutrin for a month and rebounded right to where I was before. I am now post three years wellbutrin and it is better and slowly improving. I have found as somebody said give you sexual receptors a break, even if this is hard to do. Ill try to go three days or so and then when I am with my gf it all seems to work well enough to satisfy both of us. It does get better, it just takes time, and I mean years, this is why some think it won't. take it easy all and have a nice weekend. Oh and for the men, levitra works well for those moment where things don't work all that well. Guest guest
Hi Luther, I was taking the two in seperate cycles, not overlapping. The cialis seems to work much better at 5mg/day than 20 mg twice per week. It dissolves pretty easily in a bottle of water. You might have to shake it a bit, but that's all. After I've drunk the first 1/4 I store it in the fridge for the next three days. Guest guest
Yes, Aurorix is an " antidepressant " but it is reported to have pro- sexual effects. In the papers that I have read about Aurorix, it takes a few months of use before the effects become fully expressed. It has also been used to " reverse " sexual side effects from SSRIs, although in this study, the patients did not have PSSD: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez? Guest guest
I don't think there's any way the drugs could be stored in the stomach or intestines, but they might be stored in adipose tissue. Losing wieght might help to flush out stored drug residues. I've dropped from 210 lbs to 190 over the last few months and it's possible that could be contributing to my improvements. Guest guest
I would becareful of drugs that enhance the sexual desire there are documents of people after wellbutrin becoming sexually supressed because it to enhances you sex drive and remember the old saying, what goes up has to come down, that is the same for an artifically stimulated sex drive. Guest guest
YUeah, I've heard of wellbutrin doing that, but not Aurorix. Don't try to scare me. In any case, I've been off aurorix now for a few weeks, and if anything things have gotten better, not worse. I'm not worried at all. Guest guest
sure this could be having a sustained release effect, its effects would only be minimal i would suspect. i know there's a new type of mri or scan that can detect internal deposits of fat its experimental, but it works its in london... > > another theory of mine if your interested is the guts or bowels or > > intestines, ive read that drug reside can linger around for quite > > some time so the possibility of prolonged sustained release after > > discontinuing any drug is a possibility.....colonic for everyone > > then....i don't hold much hope this being an answer but if there is > > any truth in this then it may have a limited effect.. >

Guest guest
i know your taking the cialis for prolonged periods, i don't want to scare u!! but i wanted to let you know that ive read studies in rats on pd5 enzyme drugs causes fibrosis of the inner penile tissues. if you want ill try and find the research and put up a link? if your going to carry on taking it then i would recommend you take co enzyme q10 in the weeks that you are on it, ive read about its protective arterial effects which is thought to be achieved by its antioxidant effects on nitric oxide which is a free radical...(better safe than sorry) i can try and find where ive read this also if you would like me to put up a link? Guest guest
Yeah, find the reference 'cause it sounds like complete bullshit to me. There are, however, a lot of papers published in the litereture that PDE5 inhibitors can PREVENT fibrosis: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=pubmed & Cmd=ShowDetailView & TermToSearch=16258527 & ordinalpos=9 & itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum Vornan >> i know your taking the cialis for prolonged periods, i don't want to > scare u!! but i wanted to let you know that ive read studies in rats on > pd5 enzyme drugs causes fibrosis of the inner penile tissues.> > if you want ill try and find the research and put up a link?> > if your going to carry on taking it then i would recommend you take co > enzyme q10 in the weeks that you are on it, ive read about its > protective arterial effects which is thought to be achieved by its > antioxidant effects on nitric oxide which is a free radical...(better > safe than sorry)> > i can try and find where ive read this also if you would like me to put > up a link?>

Guest guest
OK, but I still call it bullshit because it contradicts all of the other dozens of papers in Pubmed showing that PDE5 inhibitors prevent fibrosis. Do a Pubmed search and you'll see what I mean. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=pubmed & DbFrom=pubmed & Cmd=Link & LinkName=pubmed_pubmed & LinkReadableName=Related%20Articles & IdsFromResult=17882231 & ordinalpos=4 & itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum I don't know what these guys did with the rats but if they gave them huge doses for long periods of time I could imagine that it would cause some damage. They may have caused priapism. A priapism will damage the penis in humans in as little as four hours. Guest guest
I agree and the negativity has to stop. I have made comments and just get blasted in return. It takes time to heal, and only time will heal, stop looking for the cure because there is none other then time. You all got here because you wanted a quick fix or the drs told you it was one, it does not exist. Think posative and don't overthing it, that alone will male the penis not rise to the occasion. Guest guest
I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Just waiting for time to heal this sometimes works, as it did for you. That's great. Guest guest
I resent your statement that we " wanted a quick fix " . That is completely untrue. ALso, I resent your assertion that time is the only thing that will fix this. That is also bullshit. The evidence is that PSSD is sometimes permanent unless you actively try to fix it. Guest guest
i want to get better believe me also i don't want to get worse, i think it great that you have had some success with the line of treatment you are taking and it gives us all hope! but its sometimes hard to believe what you read and why its available, especially after false information from what we thought were trusted sources was what got us into this situation in the first place. i myself will try and replicate what you have achieved through natural means like natural maoi one week then arginine the next, if this doesnt work then ill try the road your taking. im gonna give this 1 year maybe two, then if there's no improvement more drastic solution will have to be thought of and explored, as no less that the way i was before is good enough for me....!!!! > > > > > > > > > > i know your taking the cialis for prolonged periods, i don't > want > > > to > > > > > scare u!! but i wanted to let you know that ive read studies > in > > > rats > > > > on > > > > > pd5 enzyme drugs causes fibrosis of the inner penile tissues. > > > > > > > > > > if you want ill try and find the research and put up a link? > > > > > > > > > > if your going to carry on taking it then i would recommend you > > > take co > > > > > enzyme q10 in the weeks that you are on it, ive read about its > > > > > protective arterial effects which is thought to be achieved > by its > > > > > antioxidant effects on nitric oxide which is a free radical... > > > (better > > > > > safe than sorry) > > > > > > > > > > i can try and find where ive read this also if you would like > me > > > to > > > > put > > > > > up a link? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
would you guys be happy if this problem resolved its self to a point where you get a natural erection whenever you wanted? even if the lack of sensation does not fully return or the intensity of an orgasm? myself i could live with that situation, but would like to know what your opinions are on this? Guest guest
My answer would be yes. My own pleasure is important, but being able to function sexually with a woman is a necessary prerequisite to having a romantic relationship.
