Guest guest
Both Advair and Symbicort are combination medications. They each have a long acting beta 2 against bronchodilator. And them both have a corticosteroid. Advair has Flovent (steroid) and Serevent (bronchodilator) Symbicort has Pulmicort (steroid) and Foradil (bronchodilator) Advair is expensive and I would guess Symbicort is too. You may cut down on price by taking the individual medications. Then you would take 2 inhalers each day such as Flovent (steroid) and Serevent (bronchodilator) or Flovent (steroid)and Foradil (bronchodilator) or Pulmicort(steroid) and Serevent (bronchodilator) or Pulmicort(steroid) and Foradil (bronchodilator) These are not rescue medications and should not be used for an asthma attack. See your doctor before you make any changes to your medications and therapies.
