Hi

When I had my first attack last February, I as overweight at over 200lbs

the Doc said I was borderline diabetic, my cholesterol was higher than

normal and of course the breathing problems. He told me I had to loose

weight if I wanted to see fifty. He recommended the GI Diet which I did,

I'm now down to 155lbs, cholesterol is fine, no sign of the diabetes,

but I still have the Big " A " (Go figure) But it sure is nice to be

able to get into my teenagers jeans!!!! If anyone wants a good doctor

recommended diet, the GI is so easy, you clear your cupboards of

everythig that is considered RED zone, eat almost exclusively from the

GREEN and treat yourself from the YELLOW. Remember portion control on

your plate should be half veges, quarter meat, and quarter starch, and

take lots of walks. (Can't run because of the asthma). Believe me the

weight just drops off, so easy. Between last Easter and Mid October I

lost over 50lbs.
