Guest guest
Hi Janet I have ordered 'What to do about your brain-injured child', although I am still waiting for it to be delivered, so I can't vouch for it. I was hoping to have it delivered before I replied to you. It is out of print, but there are several copies available second hand on Amazon, and probably eBay as well. Another book which you won't find of any practical use, but which I found really moving, which is a fictional account of life through the eyes of a fourteen old Autistic child, and really easy to read, is 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime' by Mark Haddon. It won the Booker prize in the UK, as well as a children's book award. Our daughter, Arianne, 2yrs and 3 months, still isn't anywhere near walking or talking, but has just started to come down stairs on her own. She doesn't like it, but it's incredible how a bottle of milk at the bottom concentrates her mind, and then she does it really well. Love to everybody Neil Neil Blackley Barbados t 001 neil.blackley@... Books I am new to this group and was wondering if anyone has found any books on this subject. I have looked and even have problems finding this term in medical books.
Guest guest
I think you will really like " What To Do About Your Brain-Injured Child " . I am about 1/3 of the way through now. I also know someone who was treated by Doman & Delacato in the 70's and it was extremely successful for him. It is our dream to be able to take Max to The Institute For Human Potential but much will have to be worked out before then. Anyhow, the book is a great read- very interesting, moving, funny, and at times tears you up. Joanie (Max almost 4)
Guest guest
> What has this got to do with tooth disease? > shannon I forgot to change the subject line! Sorry! It has to do with health related books and an easy way to get them. From the Appalachian Mountains, " Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.
