Dear Sanjay,

Well commented , Man ! I totally agree with you. Like you have

mentioned, there is no proof whatsoever for us to believe that Ram

or Krishna or Vishnu etc existed. We were all brought up amidst

mythology started and penned by hermits a long time ago. Our parents

in reality make us believe that this myth is true and we are falsely

bound to this. This must be exactly what our grandparents must have

done. And so on.......Its absolutely silly ! This debatable topic is

for everyone , not only Sanju.

We live our life based on EVIDENCE..

1. We eat food (wheat / rice) because evidence shows that they are

nutritious and edible. So we don't eat cowdung ! The same reason

goes for why we eat fried chicken and not a fried crow !

2. We buy clothes from Bombay Dyeing / Gwalior/ s etc because

evidence shows that they are durable and good quality textiles. So

we don't buy clothes from Dildo Dressers or Lapoot Langot company.

3. We marry the right person after our parents/ relatives do a bit

of research (evidence) on the girls's/boy's family background,

status and paisa . Meeting and deciding your partner the first time

you see each other is a bulls**t explanation. So we do not marry a

chic or a stud who walks past you on the street.

4. We buy a car for ourselves after using the evidence from the car

market or a third person's advise. The same for TV, PC, Fridge, AC.

5. We send our kids to the right school after evidence that this

school is better than the one a few kms away.We struggle get into a

medical college to complete MBBS or MD/MS because evidence shows

this is way way for future prosperity. Kindly exclude private

medical colleges and filthy rich punk-arsed kids !!

6. Our main professional activity , as doctors, is Evidence /

research based medical practice.

SO NOW CAN ANYONE GET EVIDENCE / RESEARCH / PROOF THAT all the above

mentioned mythological gods from AMAR CHITRA KATHA ever existed ? If

they did, when was this ? where was this? What did they do , apart

from spinning gear wheels on their fingers, shooting thousand

arrows, fly here and there and smashing/ decapitating the sinners,

ride the lightening ?

Last of all why didn't they drink some immortal nectar , be present

for our generation , us and our family and put good proper correct

sense onto everything that is happening around us.

Anybody can write a fable. A head of a religious organisation can do

it. So can a hardcore porn producer. Why should a group or

particular sect of humans follow this blindly.

Please ask yourself what stops us from doing wrong. What prompts us

to do the right?

Is it religion or is it good brain understanding ? We are social

beings and we live in a society . The way we live our life is based

on things we do/don't so that we can live in harmony with ourselves

and with other human beings around us...family, neighbours, work

colleagues .

Is somebody comes up to me to say that I should not do this because

there is a scientific reason for it then it is fair. But if the same

chappy brings me some half-torn scriptures from 1078 AD saying that

this hermit/sage ascetic dude has said not to do so, I have 2 words

for it.

Though I read your views with interest, we had decided long ago to keep

religion out of our ambit. That was so that peace should not be a casualty.

So lets rein in all the comments about religion.
