Hi:

I am still a Kay consultant and I know that the company stays way ahead in

the mandates concerning the safety of their skin care line compared to many

other companies.

I still refuse to sell fragrances or the items that have fragrance in them

because I know how dangerous they are. I became very masked to the fragrances

and found some of them to be actually " addictive. "

A friend of mine is an Avon rep. and all I will say is she is now developing

symptoms of FM.

All I can say is that there are many companies really rebelling against the

changes that need to be made-

Please remember that even though you may not be affected by fragrance that there

are many of us who can not be in public places if you continue to wear it-

including innocent little children

I've used Estee Lauder, Clinique, Avon, Kay both before and after the fibro

and have no issues with perfumes, or fragrance from my cosmetics. I've learned

if I try to look my best every day it boosts my self esteem even if I don't feel

well. Cleaning products however are another story entirely from me. I have a

friend that sold avon for awhile she has RA and FMS but she finally had to stop

due to it wearing her out physically. I haven't found much I can do from home

as I have too many limitations and am 33 and just getting ready to get my motor

scooter. I am sure however, there are things that can be done...transcription,

research, etc. Or if you have a hobby you can advertise on EBAY. I sell my

books on there quite frequently.

work in the lab at Avon and

while there I suffered maximum fragrance overload all day long. During this

time my use of my asthma inhaler radically increased but I failed to make a

connection! (DUH) I had all kinds of horrific symptoms even major bladder pain

but

never figured out that I was reacting to the fragrance until an EI doctor

explained it to me.
