I went in search of better slippers for my FIL and found these. With

all of our swollen foot problems, this may interest others and the

best part is they're only 12.99! I'm ordering them so I'll let you

know what they think of them.

Extra-wide non-binding slippers are designed to fit around swollen

feet and ankles. Ideal for people with diabetes, poor circulation and

other foot problems, they reduce painful pressure and have non-slip

soles for safety.

Hey thanks for sending this along. My father suffers with diabetes and his

feet are swollen. Actually we have noticed just recent that his feet are

starting to turn black. I know that is not a good sign but I can only beg him so

much to take care of himself. The rest is really up to him.

I was supposed to buy him slippers for Christmas but the ones I picked up did

not fit him. I think these will be perfect. Thank you again.

Bridget, I hope your Dad goes to the Dr soon. Two of my children

were diabetics and my BIL has diabetes. My BIL lost part of his

foot because of his diabetes. An area on his foot turned into

gangrene.

You're welcome. I just hope you can convince him to go to the doctor.

Black feet doesn't sound good.

Diabetic neuropathy is common in the feet and if not taken care of,

it can lead to amputation.

a, these slippers look comfy but do they open up wide enough to get your

foot in easily? As you know, my left ankle is fused. Thanks for the heads up on

this site.

Sadly my father is perfectly aware of this. We tell him all the time to go to

the doctors. He makes the appointments he has to but nothing (so far as I know)

is being done about what's happening to his feet. I am not even sure how to help

him any more.

I'm sorry he won't take care of himself. I know it's hard on you to

watch this happen to your dad.
