Guest guest
I came across this article on the internet. Do any of you have problems at home on your mattresss that go away when you sleep somewhere else? I do. I thought it was the change of air (don't laugh!) - truly, I did. I think I will take off my mattress topper and see what happens! blessings Shan PS I will let you all know! Guest guest
Hi Shan, I have trouble if I sleep in any bed besides my own. I have 2 memory foam mattress toppers, so about 4 inches of padding, plus a memory foam mattress from Wal-Mart under that. It has to be so soft for me as the tender points in my hips, shoulders otherwise has to much pressure on them. I feel sorry for those who have bed sores, oh, how that must smart. Guest guest
ME robbed me of sleep for 15 years, MCS from the bed furniture floor covering curtains and bedding clothes, made it worse.l still cant touch newspaper ink.. I have slept much better since getting an old fashioned cotton and wool filled matteress enclosed with Ticking (Ticking is a very thick strong woven cotton) l have bought a real wood sleigh bed, all wood construction(slats) which are much healthier as the air circulates underneath and helps kill the bed bugs. The most natural pillows are down, only buy the best quality down as the cheaper stuff has dander (Dirt) in it costly for manufacturers to wash out! Nowadays you can wash down products in a washing machine, with wool wash soap flakes, but no tumble drying... Flannelette sheets that are tumble dried and fluffy, get double sided brushed ones if you can, if not put two together on the bed stops bed sores... l have also have a 100% wool filled duvet cover from New Zealand, bought on E-Bay for £40 instead of £200? On the top l have a cellular wool blanket, finished of with a good old fashioned candlewick bedspread.. Having a sleigh bed (high headboard and footboard)stops the covers falling of in the night.. If you have a double bed and find it hard to lift the covers, when your bed is made up, fold under the spare edges sides and bottom of duvet, like an envelope this keeps the heat in and it will be much lighter.. To support the painfull parts you cant beat a folded up " down " pillow.. I will never buy a memory mattress, when the sleeping body heats them up, they give of chemicals all night every night..perspiration apparantly makes this much worse...It has been suggested they could be indicated in cot deaths even of grown up people!
