Guest guest
......and other rich and the famous Puneris from now on,would be to hop on to a flight on Saturday and shop like mad in Dubai and be back on Monday to join duties. With the inauguration of internationally bound flights to important tourist destination from Pune, that would be a possibility for Puneris now. They hope to start flights to Singapore and Malaysia as well,I am told. So,gone r the days when we Mumbaikars would catch the Howrah-Mumbai train and rush to Mumbai from Sewagram on Saturdays and then spend a day in Mumbai and return back by the 9am Mumbai- Howrah to attend classes on Monday, during our 1st MBBS,and feel proud about such escapades. Now the biggies can pride on such lovely tours. With some budget airlines moving in,I think, soon,Pune Dubai would be cheaper than Pune-Delhi flights. It was incidentally,Suchitra Pandit (76/77)followed by ?Pratima Kothari(80),who started this trend of weekend trips followed later down by Parimal Kulkarni,?Amulya Nadkarni,?Fali Langadana, sometimes with Sanjay Ingley(82).
