Guest guest
Dear Sprout, I loved you the moment I read your introduction letter. I get itchy skin associated with stress, too. Welcome to the list. I can see you did some intense work, here. You are doing it in a way that brings you home to yourself, and it is perfect. I find it difficult working with lots of statements at the same time. I take a little bite one at a time, and chew thoroughly. In other words, I like to take one sentence from my worksheet and work it through all the four questions and turnarounds, and really go inside to listen for the answers, and take note of any new beliefs that pop up. I encourage you to experiment with lots of styles to see what works best for you. > I want me to be more aware and in control and attached enough to watch over > and shield me from lurking dangers, known and unknown. Starting > NOW!!!! Bev, sweetheart, I don't hear you being gentle with yourself when you yell " NOW!!!! " Maybe that's an incorrect assumption on my part. What will work better to bring out your inner protector--yelling at yourself to be different, or going inside to inquire? I hear that you very much want to change, and I've got a judgment that change happens once you accept where you are right now, itching and all. Try the four questions on this, if you like: " I should be more aware and in control than I am now " 1. Is it true? 2. Can you absolutely know that's true? 3. How do you treat yourself and others when you think that thought? Does that bring you stress or peace? 4. Who would you be, without the thought? Turn it around. Is that as true, or truer? Here's another one. This one sounds stressful to me. " I should be able to shield myself from known and unknown dangers. " Love, Bev
