Guest guest
......., No,after very lengthy mails by Kishoreda and Ameet on topics, which had not been " TOUCHED " (pun intended),I wouldn't like to add any more OUTPUTS further. But just that, happened to drift back into times when we went to our adopted village of Kanhapur, the first time, wayback in Oct' 84. Situated on the Wardha-Nagpur highway, barely 12kms from Wardha,it was just like every other Vidharbha village. But thankfully, the literacy rate was quite good, probably due to the nearness to Wardha and so fortunately the 3 families that was allotted to me had good Pucca house, electricity most of the times, and neat sofa and chairs and a swing even,as in Gujarati house style,in the living room,in a couple of house. So,as a result,my house would be the hub point for daily discussions during the mornings,by interns,PGs and the group teachers and a playhouse in the evenings when some of my groupmates, like Dhananjay Deuskar,Rajeev Saha,OPSharma,Nita Karia(Sharma),Prasad Deshmukh,Fateh Singh, and yes Humaira Khatoon, would all join in for a game or two of cards and fun.My family was very cooperative whenever called to give samples for workup, including the night-time grand confusion mela, where we would have to bring in all of them to the base tent for Malarial blood film test. But,my dear friend Amol Kulkarni had the worst time, all of 4years and hated going to his family. The reason being he got the lowest uneducated set of 3 families, who questioned everything that was done to them from day1,and I can't forget the sight when he had managed to get all those into the tent for the blood test. It was literally like the shepherd guiding his wayward sheep into the stable, with some trying to escape. Looked real funny,to see a smart gora chitta Puneri boy,of a very well to do family, with an excellent Marathi under his command, trying hard to lead his family. Those happy days...
