(and please don't try to drop it) ********************** 1. Of course not. 2. No. It's just a thought I have sometimes. 3. Undesirable and needy because I don't have one. I feel like something must be wrong with me. I keep to myself so others won't be able to see how needy I really feel (and I must be doing a pretty good job of it, because my friends tell me that I'm the least needy person they know!) LOL! I feel cold and unloving - incapable of reaching out for fear of being rejected. 4. More open to reaching out to others. 5. Of course. TA I don't need an intimate relationship with another in order to be happy. (Which is true more than half the time). I do need an intimate relationship with myself in order to be happy. ****************** I know there is nothing outside of me that will bring me abiding peace and joy and yet like you I keep looking. My brief experience with the Work convinces me that I can unchain myself from the old beliefs. Its working. Keep doing the Work. and Something anne on said on a relationships tape has stuck with me over the years. She said " Why would anyone want to be with you when you don't want to be with you " . Ever since I heard that I've been working on being someone I want to be with. Do this Work and you will gently feel a shift in how you are being. You don't have to understand it but you do have to do it. Ask the 4 questions. Love Bob ****************** A while back, I remember someone on this list talking about " baby steps " with regard to doing the work. I think that you're saying something similar. Bob, your feedback is truly appreciated. I'll try not to get discouraged and just keep at it. Best regards,
