Guest guest
Helga- I am new to this group --feel the same way as you do. I was just diagnosed with Asthma. I am on Advair and Albuterol inhalers. They hardly help at all. The least Little bit of exertion brings on an attack. I have been reading All kinds of info on this --I seem to be getting the same information Over and over again. I don't know what to say --other than Hang in there and maybe another member will give us some Input. Stacey -- any advise? There been a lot of "talk" here about Beta Blockers. Since I don't know what they are, I'm assuming I'm not using it. I use Advair 500/50 twice daily and take one Singulair tablet, plus Fexofenadine (generic form of Allegra). This week I hurried to catch my train and I ended up with an attack as I boarded the train. My rescue inhaler helped a lot, but then I was shaking for the next two or so hours. Why I am taking these meds, if at the slightest excertion I have an attack. I've been reading that some people feel their asthma has worsened since going on meds. I feel that way too. I am really tired of not being able to walk fast or walk and talk at the same time or even dance. (I used to do ballroom dancing) I've been to specialists and there doesn't seem to be much more they can do for me. Anybody have any advise? Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I wish I could help more, but I've been having problems with exercise induced flareups too. I'm a college student and walking to classes is sometimes a struggle. Since it's cold where I live in Tennessee, I use a scarf around my face to help keep out too much cold air. We'll just have to keep going, do what we can, and take care of ourselves the best we can. Try to take your time when walking. We have 10 minutes between classes and sometimes I need more time. My professors have been great about it if I'm late to a class. Stacey May wrote: Helga- I am new to this group --feel the same way as you do. I was just diagnosed with Asthma.
