Guest guest
I know that people who are on these drugs have done these things. But I know with me, that I would be worse off if I wasn't on what I was. Also on the box, it says right on there, do not take if you experience any changes. You need to talk to your doctor. I have been one of the lucky ones. I have never had any side effects or negative effects from Prozac. I'm sure others can say it's helped them also. Then on the other hand, I'm sure there are people who will say what this article says. Since I haven't had any bad effects, I'll still take it unless I found something else that helps as well as this. I can at least say I feel almost normal while I have been on Prozac. Lou surpriseshan2@... wrote: S S R I W A R N I N G P U B L I C N O T I C E There is a class of drugs on the market for depression, anxiety, and a host of other mental health problems known as Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, or SSRIs. You have heard of them: Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Luvox, Celexa... to name just a few... If you are currently on one of these drugs, or if someone has mentioned to you that you should get on one of these drugs (your family physician, your friend, your relative), this notice is especially for you. Guest guest
I agree, looks like spam to me... I got one of these ads on my system and haven't been able to get it off for several months, AND I think it's messing up my system. LouAnn wrote: WHAT is this nonsense? Guest guest
Um,...are you on SSRI's? Because your reaction in your email below is exactly what that person was warning us about. I looked around the internet and even Law Offices are taking cases for people on these drugs. I think most of the concern is for those who are under 18 on SSRI's. I'm on Effexor XR myself. Here are some pages on the info I found: This is a link to a lawyer's site: http://www.baumhedlundlaw.com/attorneys/karenbarthmenzies.htm Scroll Down to where it says: Author: Biting the Magic Bullet: A look at SSRI Litigation More
Guest guest
Hi LouAnn: Thank you very much for this e-mail. I am on Prozac, and have been for about 7 years. I've never had one side effect at all. In fact, since I've had CFS, it's the only thing that keeps me going. Dr. Bell who is my CFS specialist, when I saw him last I had asked him if it was safe to continue taking Prozac and I told him how many years I've been on it. He asked me does it make you more tired and I said no. I said it helps me to have a positive attitude and it keeps me happy. I am not on Prozac because I'm depressed. I'm on Prozac to help me cope with the fatigue. The people who we read about in the newspapers that have killed people and then they say they are on anti-depressants is because those people have depression. Dr. Bell said there's nothing wrong staying on Prozac and if it helps with this illness then just stay right on it. I always feel on this site if we make a comment then someone will lash out and then it makes us not want to talk about things. We're here to help others and help them in their struggles, and not to make people feel bad. Lou LouAnn wrote: WHAT is this nonsense? Not one of the links says ANYTHING about SSRI's. Guest guest
I can assure you; it is definitely not spam. And I am surprised; I thought it was common knowledge about SSRIs. Certainly been in news a lot. And is all around the internet - would be surprised in it is not on Mercola's for example. Just checked; no less then 10 articles about SSRIs on Dr Mercola's website. Well - as Alison asked; are you on SSRIs? And the website about ADDD/ADHD - if anyone checks on it there is information about SSRIs. In fact; don't know how anyone could miss it. Truly amazing what people can miss when they don't want to see. blessings Shan Antidepressants May Trigger Violent Behavior 9/18/02Her book Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? the Rest of the Story on the New Class of Ssri Antidepressants Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Lovan, Luvox & More is a ... www.mercola.com/2002/sep/18/luvox.htm - <A HREF= " http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en & lr= & ie=UTF-8 & oe=ISO-8859-1 & safe=active & \ client=pub-5036891189517018Similar pages Why Antidepressants are Causing Suicides and Homicides 3/27/04After the first SSRI, Prozac, was introduced in 1988, unusual and severe ... Shan posts alot of good info and deserves the benefit of the doubt. So let's move past this small issue together. Gentle Hugs, P.J. in NJ > > Lou Ann, > I think you are being very unfair!
