Hi Stacie:

Welcome to the group - a great place to come for

unconditional support and information. I was dx with

RA almost 7 years ago, and my first med was Plaquenil.

I did great on it for almost 2-1/2 years until the RA

became more aggressive and the Plaquenil was not

helping any longer. I had absolutely no side effects

from it. Just make sure that you get your eyes

checked about ever 6 months - there is a slight chance

of retinal problems with Plaquenil, so you need to

keep an eye (no pun intended lol) onit.

It took the Plaquenil about 2-3 months before I began

to notice benefit from it. Hope this helps -
