Guest guest
Hi , Just thought I'd contribute to the conversation. For me ... " Zen " is simply a word ... 3 letters/4 spaces .... or a concept. The Zen koan .... What is the sound of one hand clapping .... is simply a question that doesn't require any further thinking ... for me. The koan could also be seen as a group of words/letters that I may or may not choose to add meaning to. As long as there 'is' Zen then there's something to work on. Bob Re: " Advanced " material? Hi Ole, If you want to take the Work deeper, I would personally recommend that you explore Zen. An excellent book to read is " Being Zen: Bringing Meditation to Life " by Ezra Bayda. Sitting zazen is an excellent way to uncover thoughts that are hard to find and bring them to the Work. It is also an excellent way to see that its our attachment to thoughts (stories) which is the cause of all our pain. Take care ... > After being at a workshop about the work, I got aware that there were > many additional questions to ask to get deeper into inquiry, tnan > what is covered in " Loving what is " . Guest guest
Not when they realize they are only seeing their own reflection. Guest guest
The right answer to the koan is this: Q: How many Zen monks are needed to change a light bulb? A: Two. The one changes and the other changes not. So you all have to slap yourself with a stick!! ;-) How many from the Loving-what-is list does it take to change a light bulb?......... Guest guest
Sootless candle, I love that, can I use it? Re: " Advanced " material? > What's a light bulb? Do we care?! *smile* On a more helpful note: An upscale, sootless candle.
